THE PROJECT
In this project we made numerous infrastructure improvements. The communication solutions involve the VPN (OpenVPN and PPTP) use and the collaborative e-mail tool Zimbra. Besides the virtualization solutions of servers using KVN, WSU Tech promoted security measures by using a firewall and a differenced way to block internet content. The highlight in this project is this differenced blocker that uses proxy and MS Server’s Active Directory to add restrictions to groups of employees in the company. In this method, the employee logs in the computer and then the system applies access restrictions to resources creating the possibility of custom reports. WSU Tech also set and made the maintenance of the Sinotruk System of Management of Products Warranty environment.
THE OUTCOME
Sinotruk of Brazil found in WSU TEch a strong partner to help with planning, consolidation and safety of their technology infrastructure. With the virtualized ambient it was possible to make available more services needed for the company’s growth without raising the number of equipment, optimizing the usage of the available resources by the servers. In the reports about the control of internet access was possible to direct employees in a punctual way, avoiding distractions caused by websites not productives to the company.
